ZFrame
in clinical use
Information without delay, handheld data capture with
full audit trail
Background
Clinicians are mobile professionals, and now computerization can
follow suit with ZFrame. Tapping into the hospital's wireless
LAN or public cellular networks through ZFrameWorks™,
handheld devices can make data access and exchange as mobile and
on-the-spot as the clinician.
Meeting the stringent requirements
There are many demanding factors to consider before placing powerful
handheld computer access into clinical settings. ZFrame provides
a complete suite of capabilites for
security and authentication. It also meets applicable regulatory
standards for electronic Case Report Forms (e-CRFs), HIPAA requirements,
and FDA 21 CFR Part 11.
Transaction buffering
Wireless networks may cease functioning around the block, or around
the next hallway. It is imperative that network transactions be
buffered to withstand drop-outs without loss of data or transaction
integrity. This is also an important part of wireless
syncing, ensuring that captured data goes back into the central
system as soon as practical, with no loss of integrity.
Cross-platform basis
ZFrame works with both PalmOS and
PocketPC, each of which has particular strengths in a clinical
setting. This gives systems integrators a transcendent technical
basis for deployment.
Internal consistency for speeding deployment
Custom apps for clinical use may be built in Visual Basic or other
common tools, building on the ZFrameWorks client-server software.
New apps and new projects are simplified with template forms that can be
saved and re-used,
all supported by the intrinsic
functionality of the ZFrame technology.
Custom development services
ZFrame offers a full spectrum of services
to assist in transitioning existing content to the handheld, and
in building full-blown new custom apps at whatever level of complexity
is demanded. Request
